Nam thought of his friend Kitaro, a Japanese fluent in Vietnamese who occasionally prefers to hear about Vietnam in his native tongue.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know,\u201d Nam said, \u201cNHK World-Japan offers a full Vietnamese news service. It\u2019s not just current affairs \u2014 they feature cultural stories, food, tourism, and even host events like \u2018Discover Japan with NHK World-Japan\u2019 in Hanoi, where Japanese artists perform and interact with local audiences.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kitaro looked surprised.
\n\u201cSo, does VTV have a Japanese program too?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course,\u201d Nam replied. \u201cVTV4 runs \u2018Japanese Magazine,\u2019 a weekly show introducing Vietnam\u2019s culture, society, and people to Japanese viewers. It\u2019s watched not only by Japanese living in Vietnam but also by Vietnamese learning Japanese.
